5 baby white rabbit's foot fern plants right out of the grow tray and very easy to grow. These can develop fronds up to 2 feet long when mature.
The scientific name for these plants is Humata tyermanii, but rabbit's foot fern is just fine. This is the white paw variety, so called because of the white fuzzy rhizomes that the plants produce.
The plants are from tissue culture. The fronds are approximately 3 inches long and they are growing fast.
We will ship as plugs, ready for you to pot up. We recommend putting these in 3 or 4 inch pots on arrival. We use and recommend Miracle Gro potting soil.
The fronds on these are soft and dark green. Great to use in plantings for color and/or texture. They are slightly more cold hardy than other tropicals and are OK down to 40 degrees or so. Great as house plants, or you can grow them on a shady porch or patio.
These are easy to grow. Keep them somewhat moist. Don't overwater them -- allow them to get almost but not quite dry between waterings. Provide bright light but no direct sun, especially at this baby stage. Keep between 55 and 90 degrees. Fertilize twice a month, with a weak, well balanced fertilizer.
